Durable off road trailer

You’ll have a hard time finding a camper better suited to the rougher road conditions in the most remote and rural areas of the country, than a Conqueror. With our background in military contracting, we have come to be quite familiar with the true demands of towing off road, both on paper and out in the field.

When it comes to durable campers for off road adventures, Conquerors are an obvious choice, since our campers are optimised for these situations. Over the years, we have refined our designs to better address the unique demands that our customers expect, taking our trailers and caravans to all corners of the map. We’ve been at it for over 30 years now, and our current range of durable trailers includes the Courage, Compact and Comfort.

These three ultra-durable campers offer varying features and different balances of comfort vs ease of use. The Courage, for example, is fitted with a 1.8t torsion axle. This axle makes use of durable rubber inserts within the axle to absorb shock and soften force transfers from the wheels up into the body of the trailer. This delivers an especially smooth ride over rough terrain and other off road obstacles, which synergises well with the exceptionally light weight of the Courage, having a tare of only 490kgs.

The Compact and Comfort trailers, however, cannot make use of these axles as a result of their increased weight. They make use of the next best alternative: solid beam axles with eye-to-eye shackle leaf springs. These still provide a firm and appropriate base for the two larger trailers, but the leader in terms of off road handling, by far, is the nimble Courage.

All three of our trailers share the characteristic of highly durable body components and designs. Epoxy coating and galvanising protect the frame and body from wear and tear, and even if something did get damaged, our modular design allows for easy replacement of specific parts. This even extends down into the frame of the trailers, which make minimal use of welding, allowing for disassembly and easy replacements.
