Quality 4×4 Caravans When You Choose Conqueror.

South Africa has many excellent 4×4 trails. And if you love navigating difficult terrain, then no caravan is going to tickle your fancy like a Conqueror. Our tough caravans and trailers are among the most durable and convenient on the market today and purpose-built to handle the toughest terrain possible.

Here are three havens that offer a scenic getaway along with some 4×4 terrains that will put your driving and vehicle to the test. For these, you need one of our quality caravans.

4x4 Caravans

  1. At Se Gat: Roughly an hour’s drive west from Pretoria, 12 kms from Brits, this valley hideaway is a must-see for 4×4 The beautiful valley is split by a river, which is dotted with warning signs for the crocodiles you’ll see lazing around along the river banks. The plot of land offers three trails with different conditions along each. There is a River Trail, which crosses streams involving sandy, muddy navigation, a Mountain Trail with lots of rocky inclines and obstacles, and an Island Trail, which offers a mix of obstacles between the river and mountainside.
  2. Taaibos Adventures & Safaris: This awesome holiday spot roughly 200 kms North of Pretoria offers a great range of activities for the whole family, including some awesome trails. The camping area provides power points and ablution blocks and even has chalets and huts for those not lucky enough to own a Conqueror caravan! The 4×4 trails are narrow rocky paths up and down a mountainside, along a river, offering breathtaking views along with some rocky problem-solving. The trails have gradings from two to five. There are also other activities like hiking and rock-climbing that can keep everyone entertained during your stay.
  3. Piesangkloof 4×4 Trails: Piesangkloof is a stunning destination on the Magaliesberg ranges. The views from the top, overlooking the Hartbeespoort Dam, are a great reward for the trying 4×4 trails the site has to offer. There is a shorter, approximately 3-hour trail, and a longer, approximately 5-hour trail to choose from. Both are technical and great fun, but the longer trail is a bit more difficult than the short one. The camping area is self-service, with no ablutions, which shouldn’t be a problem if you have the right caravan behind you. It really is the heart of the bush here, so good preparation is a must.
