"Een van ons lekkerste vakansies nog was die Lebombo-4X4-ekotoer in die Kruger Park, April 2013. Slegs 5 voertuie, wat die van die gids insluit, word toegelaat en 'n mens kamp sommer so in die bos in kampe sonder heinings! Ongelooflike mooi diere, voëls en plante gesien, sommiges uniek aan die ongewing. Dis juis hierdie bio-diversiteit wat die roete een van die bestes in Suid-Afrika maak! Die roete was soms moeilik, en een van die mees uitdagende gedeeltes is hierdie rivier kruising met as-knopers onder die water - ek moes natuurlik met die Commander ook daardeur - die karavaan het sy man gestaan en nie een druppel het sy weg binnetoe gevind nie! Voorwaar 'n ongelooflike avontuur gewees!" Andries van Heerden
